Of course the exceedingly fashionable entertainer/producer/multiple Grammy winner Pharrell bought this droolworthy pad in Laurel Canyon, designed by Belzberg Architects. This guy can't just buy a mock-Italian villa like everyone else; once you wear a giant Arby's hat, there's just no settling for the norm anymore. And, according to the sale price, reported by Variety, he got it for less than it was asking. The one-time home of Belzberg's principal architect, Hagy Belzberg, the six-bedroom hillside house uses walls of glass and sliding doors from the living room to the bedrooms to accentuate the location's amazing views. (Belzberg moved on in 2009.)

The 1.55-acre property also boasts a two-story guesthouse, a motor court, an infinity pool, and a deck on top of the garage that functions as an outdoor screening room, designed to view movies projected onto the side of the guesthouse. The Skyline Residence went up for sale last July asking $9 million; Pharrell got it for a cool $7.14 million.
