Just a few weeks after purchasing a very muted Manhattan Beach residence, New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel is selling off her "mini country estate" in the Hollywood Hills, says Trulia. Deschanel purchased the 1933 house in 2009 for $1.65 million, says Variety, buying from actor Mark Ruffalo (now appearing as the Hulk in the latest installment of the Avengers franchise). Hopefully, another adorable, indie-ish actor will be charmed by the house's hunter green study or its high, trussed living room ceilings and keep the trend rolling here.

The rambling, one-story residence comes with "original details," and though the listing doesn't elaborate further, we're guessing it's referring at least in part to the bow-truss ceilings in the living room. In addition to three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, the house features French doors throughout, a fancy kitchen with marble counters, and a formal dining room. Resting on a half-acre lot, the house is surrounded by wooded grounds. Deschanel is asking $2.195 million.
