Per the Listing: "Turn-of-the-century cottage on a storied staircase street in Echo Park (adjacent to Angelino Heights). This home has been updated throughout in a unique private setting. The entertainer's backyard has views of Downtown. Inside the bright and open home are wood floors, high ceilings, 2 bedrooms, remodeled bath, laundry/office room, and a bonus space below the house. Close to Downtown, Dodger Stadium, and the infamous Guisados is across the street. Parking is available at the adjacent lot."
Serious question: is Guisados truly "infamous"? And if so, why? Moving on to the listing, while the cottage itself isn't a particularly artful specimen of the Arts & Crafts era and its updates of the cheap and charmless variety, on the plus side, it does have a fairly generous lot of 7,052 square feet. According to Redfin, it last traded hands in 2008 for $429,000.
