Sweet 1930s Cottage in Glendale Asking $895,000

New, 38 comments

Open House: Sunday, April 19, 2015 between 2 PM - 5 PM 3115 Charing Cross Road, Glendale

Price: $895,000
Beds, Baths: 4 beds, 2.5 baths
Floor Area: 2,220 sq. ft.
Per the Listing: "It isn't every day that a charming home such as this comes on the market. This corner home has curb appeal from every angle. Built in 1930, there was a lot of attention given to the details. In addition to three spacious bedrooms upstairs there is a hidden fourth bedroom that is cozy and quaint. The step down living room features a warm and inviting fireplace and French doors out to the covered patio. Located within a block of the Chevy Chase Country Club."

We wish there were more photos of this English country cottage in the listing, because in the scant few offered, we like what we see. (Well, except for the kitchen, which looks a tad cramped and dark and in need of new appliances.) We're also big fans of its bucolic/suburban-feeling neighborhood of Chevy Chase Canyon, located just below the San Rafael Hills. Sited on a 5,945-square-foot lot, the property is part of the Chevy Chase Estates Homeowner Association, which has dues of $35/year. Per Redfin, it last traded hands 25 years ago for $465,000.
