Grove Developer Planning 19-Story Residential Tower Near the Beverly Center

New, 48 comments

Even though Grove developer Rick Caruso is busy remaking downtown Pacific Palisades and planning something big for Brentwood, he's not forgotten about old Beverly Grove. Just north of his super-luxurious apartment complex 8500 Burton ($40,000 penthouse anyone?) and down the street from The Grove, Caruso is hoping to build a 19-story residential tower with 154 apartments, a restaurant, and a 26,320-square-foot market, says Urbanize LA.

The site at the northwest corner of La Cienega and San Vicente is currently home to a low-rise retail and parking development. There's no timeline yet for the tower.

This new project at 333 La Cienega will be much taller than any other residences under Caruso's belt so far (8500 Burton's only eight stories) and also much taller than the nearby, nine-story Joseph Youngerman building, a former office tower that's being converted to housing. In fact, this will be one of the tallest buildings in the area if it's built.
