First Look at the Thompson Hollywood Hotel Headed For Wilcox

New, 19 comments

Back in October, Curbed reported that yet another hotel was on its way to Hollywood, on Wilcox just north of Sunset, and today we learn it'll be the Thompson Hollywood Hotel. It'll have at least 220 rooms across 12 floors, with a three-floor subterranean parking garage with space for 125 cars. All the expected amenities are involved: a terrace and a 13,000 square foot restaurant on the ground floor, a pool deck, a fitness center, and 1,400 square feet of meeting rooms on the second floor, and a bar/deck that will share the rooftop with a 1,000-square-foot penthouse lounge, according to an environmental doc just filed with the city.

Developed by Hollywood International Regional Center (the same people behind the under-construction Dream Hotel nearby), the Thompson Hollywood has no announced timeline, but considering they have a pre-existing building to demolish and a possible environmental review to compile, don't expect this one for a while. Luckily for you (or the tourists), there are plenty more Hollywood hotels on the way. Ian Grant
