Downtown will gets its Whole Foods on November 4 and the gentrification will be complete. The chain announced a year and a half ago that it'd be bringing a store in the Eighth & Grand apartment complex (*which isn't open yet). The long-coveted Whole Foods will join a Ralphs, a Smart & Final, a CityTarget, and a few small specialty grocers in Downtown, most of which opened in just the past few years, but this is the one the yuppifying neighborhood has been waiting on. The store will be about 41,000 square feet with a full restaurant/bar, a coffee bar, and grocery delivery for Eighth & Grand residents, plus 170 parking spots right there in the middle of Downtown.
