In 2011, grad student Christopher Carson Smith bought a small parcel of land in a remote part of Colorado with the intention of building a tiny house on it, an experience he later chronicled in his documentary, TINY: A Story About Living Small. It took him a year and $26k to complete his 124-square-foot dream home, which had no running water. Curbed recently sat down with him to chat about living in a house the size of a parking space and what he would do differently if he built it today. [Curbed National]
