Last week, as part of Downtown's Art Walk and Vision LA, musician William Close played two holiday-themed shows on a 700-foot harp he'd made out of one of the towers of the City National Plaza. Today, for those who didn't brave the cold and rain that night to see it in person, here is a video of Close playing a 52-story tower. It's pretty amazing what you can do to a humdrum Downtown LA skyscraper using some wires and a whole hell of a lot of imagination. We've seen pianos around the city for public use, why not 700-foot architecture harps? What do you say, City National Plaza? Can we keep it?
