Be the Second-Ever Owner of This Fantastic, Drive-Under Modern House in Silver Lake

This 1951 house overlooking the Silver Lake Reservoir is described as both "undisturbed" and "waiting to be re-vitalized and brought back to the glory of its heyday," though the latter kind of makes it sound like the place isn't already great-looking. Skylights are woven in between the exposed beams of the ceilings, letting light hit the wood floors throughout and making the big, open, 2,523-square-foot house look even larger. The residence includes a dining area with fireplace, a "time-capsule" galley kitchen, and a den with large pocket door-like panels that allow it to be separated from the rest of the space.

The master bedroom (a later addition to the house) takes up the whole second floor. Inside the master suite, there's a large master bedroom with his-and-hers sinks, a walk-in closet, built-ins galore, and "an art studio with northern light." The house is located at the end of a "long private drive" that goes under the second level of the house. The list price is $1.395 million.
