1930s Spanish With Incredible Vintage Tile in Beverly Hills Now On the Market for the First Time

Time capsule alert! According to public records, this lovely old Spanish in the Beverly Hills flats was the longtime residence of Babette Meyers Frankenberg, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 98. Ms. Frankenberg seems to have been a real firecracker, judging by her obituary, which describes her as a champion tennis player and skiier, world-traveler, patron of the arts, "rapier wit," and a highly successful property agent, "well-known for the rainbow-painted Porsche in which she made her real estate rounds." Ms. Frankenberg also appears to have been an excellent steward of her North Sierra Drive home, which was built for her family in 1930 and is now available for the first time. Sited on a .26-acre lot, the five-bedroom, four-bath house's features include hardwood and tile floors, a wood-burning fireplace, crown molding, wainscoting, wrought iron detailing, built-in vanities, French windows, and glorious period tile. Asking price is $5.895 million.
