The massive, 15-acre, mixed-use USC Village has been under construction since September of last year, and while it's not due to be complete until autumn 2017, it's racing toward completion. Bisnow got ahold of a video of the progress over at the site that shows those Collegiate Gothic-style arches going in, and combines the site plan for the project with recent footage of what the buildings look like now, effectively bringing the site plan to life. (Yes, that sounds cheesy, but it does!)
When completed, the Village, designed by Harley Ellis Devereaux, will have a Trader Joe's and a Target Express (LA's first) in among its 150,000 square feet of retail space, as well as multiple five-story dorms for 2,700 students. The entire video is set to a soundtrack of the USC marching band performing Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk," which is fitting, seeing as the band was featured in the original video for the song.
