Celebrity besties Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are so tight, they even live on the same block in Pacific Palisades. But maybe not for long. Affleck and soon-to-be-ex-wife Jennifer Garner just put their mansion in the neighborhood up for sale (for $45 million), and now it looks like Damon's selling his house too. Variety hears that Damon has pocket-listed his Pac Pal compound (meaning it's not on the open market), and is asking "around $20 million" for the property, once referred to (by the broker trying to sell it) as "the best house in Pacific Palisades."
The star of The Martian and his wife Luciana bought their Pacific Palisades retreat in 2012, paying a nice, round $15 million. The listing from that time boasted a house with seven bedrooms (five for the family and two for staff); vaulted, 35-foot mahogany ceilings; "a serious gym"; an atrium; a fabulous pool; and a five-car garage. Designed by KAA Design and built in 2004, the house takes up almost 9,000 square feet on a .68-acre lot.
