Emerging out of a hillside and hiding between the pines is this incredible bit of architecture by the renowned Lloyd Wright (son of the even-more-renowned Frank Lloyd Wright). Designed in 1959 for the actor Daniel De Jonghe, according to LA Home & Style, the 2,100-square-foot De Jonghe Residence offers the discerning tenant two bedrooms, beamed ceilings, a wealth of enormous windows, and two impressive fireplaces that appear to have been chiseled out of a preexisting rock face. Architect John Powell has overseen a "sensitive restoration/renovation" of the property that brought the kitchen and the bathrooms especially up to more modern standards (is that a Viking range in the kitchen?). Outdoor space includes multiple terraces landscaped with drought-tolerant plants and affording expansive views. The De Jonghe Residence sits on a 10,889-square-foot lot and is renting for $8,750.
