Forget Downtown and Hollywood: Koreatown's got big projects in the works both in terms of height and sheer units, and a lot more smaller projects that point toward a dramatically changing neighborhood. This latest development isn't a giant project, but it's going to be taller than the two-story building that sits on the site at Eighth and Berendo right now. Building LA finds that the project will be seven stories tall, with 100 units over street-level commercial space; some of the units are expected to be set aside for low-income tenants, but there's no number yet. Meanwhile, just up the block, the three-building K2LA luxury apartments are finishing up their second and final phase of construction.
