Fun fact: Los Angeles has 15,967 bus stops and 170 bus routes running through the city and environs, with buses up the coast to Point Dume and Trancas Canyon in Malibu, all the way inland to Pomona, and clustered densely in between. To illustrate, Metro's produced an awesome interactive map of every stop, along with information about the stop name and the lines that service it. While it's probably not going to help if you are currently in transit (no route times, for instance), it's just plain interesting to see where the buses do and don't travel. [The Source]
