Welcome to Cornerspotter, a weekly Curbed game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into Los Angeles and its past!

According to the Los Angeles Public Library's information for this 1950 photo, "In the 1930s, Wayne McAllister, the originator of the circular drive-in, designed circular Simon's Drive-in Restaurants in the Streamline Moderne style with a three-layer roof and neon advertising pylon; this style was copied throughout the country." Today there's a different distinctively styled "eatery" at this site. Think you know this corner? Tell us in the comments!
