Foster the People's Downtown mural had a good run, but has ultimately been painted over. The contentious 125-by-150-foot painting appeared to receive a mayoral reprieve, but in the end there were too many issues (for starters, it was on a building that was designated historic, meaning it can't be altered--not even by fanciful paintings.) This photo taken Friday and sent to us by a tipster shows that mural is very much a thing of the past. [LAW, image via Cris Lombardi]
