Hint: The Arts Thrive Now on This Busy Boulevard

Welcome to Cornerspotter, a weekly Curbed game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into Los Angeles and its past!

This photo, dated 1962, shows a standard, busy street and all the businesses people would expect to find on such a street: banks, a Bob's Big Boy restaurant, jewelers, and tailors. Today this intersection is located in an area known for its artsiness, and while at least two buildings in the photo remain, their uses may have changed. Do you know where this intersection is? Let us know in the comments!
