This showily pristine house in Brentwood was originally built in 1947 and for many years, as the listing notes, belonged to composer Meredith Wilson, who wrote The Music Man and the score for Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator. His widow appears to have sold the property a few years ago for $2.6 million and now the whole thing has been "remodeled and transformed into a light filled calming contemporary retreat." It now has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool and spa "dramatically lit with LED in evening hours," a kitchen (with "unique counter height"?) that opens to outdoor bar seating, four fireplaces, and built-in security and sound systems, all on about three-quarters of an acre. It's asking $6.5 million.
