What $2,800 Can Rent You in Los Angeles Right Now

New, 6 comments

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for around a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Our friends at Zumper have helped us out with five listings within $100 of today's price: $2,800.

↑ This week's hunt is starting off strong with this two-bedroom in the upper unit of a Silver Lake duplex. In addition to being straight-up adorable, the unit has two balconies, a porch, French doors, on-site laundry, and a lush garden on the premises. Did we mention those killer views? Now we did. The rent is $2,795.

↑ This apartment building is so cute, we could just slap it. The two-bedroom unit up for grabs is in a 1920s duplex in Mid-City and it comes with one parking spot, a rear yard, and a stove so new it's still got the plastic on; in fact, the whole place has been "recently and lovingly restored." Your canine or feline companion is welcome, but they must pay something called "pet rent" that is $100 a month. Without a four-legged friend, the rent is $2,800.

↑ This two-bedroom is one of 10 apartments in this complex in Beverly Hills and it has "travertine stone and hardwood flooring"! The kitchen has an island and stainless steel appliances and the apartment comes with assigned parking and pool access. Your rent here will be $2,795.

↑ Have you always wanted to live up the street from places that serve fancy, delicious burgers and sausages? You should take a look at this two-bedroom apartment in the Arts District. In addition to its convenient locations near places to stuff your pie hole (including a place called The Pie Hole), the unit has a "built-in gardening area," its own patio, in-unit laundry, and two snazzy tiled bathrooms. Rent is $2,850.

↑ This roomy three-bedroom townhouse in Glendale has wood floors, air conditioning, a balcony, and an alarm system in its 1,474 square feet. Because it's so large, you'll have a den (with a fireplace) and a dining room. It also comes with garage parking that is directly connected to the unit. It rents for $2,800.
