$85-Million House in Bev Hills is the Most Bonkers Place Ever

New, 67 comments

The brokerbabble for this megamansion in Trousdale Estates does not lie: "be prepared for an overwhelming sensory experience unlike any you've felt before." As it's staged, parts of the brand new, 23,000-square-foot house (as seen on Homes of the Rich) could be a duty free shop (the enormous wine room, the wall of plastic tubs filled with candy and flanked by three large M&Ms), while other rooms could be a secret nook of the Petersen Automotive Museum (the car showroom/bonus room hybrid that has a lucite fooseball table).

Giant blue-and-silver grenades, token bikini women, and Yves Saint Laurent fire extinguishers aside, the house's design does capitalize well on the gorgeous (and unobstructed) views, and the pool is pretty awesome, assuming those velour rafts are included in the sale. With eight bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, an underground garage, closets that could each hold a small boutique, and a movie theater—all in such an exclusive neighborhood—it almost makes the pricetag seem warranted. Almost. Homes of the Rich reports it is pocket-listed for $85 million.
