Glassy New House With a Tree Through It Asking $28 Million

New, 19 comments

Three years ago, there was a house on this very spot that looked like a mid-century modern time capsule in the best sense of the word. (A giant tiki would have fit right in.) Today, something very very different has taken its spot. A hyper-modern, angular new house proclaiming itself to be the "Next Level of view modern estates," this six-bedroom, eight-bathroom estate on highly-desirable Carla Ridge has a two-story water feature, a closet the size of a J. Crew, a 12-seat screening room, and an olive tree growing in it. Bright, white, and glassy, it's asking $27.995 million. Update 7/30: A tipster points out this house is the work of spec megamansion juggernaut Nile Niami, who's now building the biggest house in LA County.
