The Best Dog Park in Los Angeles is: Rosie's Dog Beach

New, 15 comments

As part of Outdoors Week 2014, we were looking to settle the question once and for all of Los Angeles's best dog park. Four contenders made the cut, you voted, and now we announce the winner.

The dog-lovers of Los Angeles have voted and—by a landslide—elected Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach to the important office of Los Angeles's Best Dog Park. Rosie's is the only off-leash dog beach in LA County and the dogs love it (as you can see in its many Instagrams). If you're not convinced just watching these joyous pups, you will be by this testimonial from commenter Osomatic: "My vote is courtesy of my dog, who is normally very worried and skittish and scared of just about everything... except at Rosie's dog beach. It's like he becomes an entirely different dog. And it's only at the beach - we've taken him to other dog parks, and he just stands around near us and doesn't want to do anything. Maybe there are better parks with nicer facilities, but Rosie's is the one he likes."
