A round of applause to both chumdinger and alangregg, who both get credit for being the first to correctly guess the beach we were looking for in yesterday's Cornerspotter: it's Santa Monica Beach. The beach is much wider these days, and there are more houses (and more parking), but clues included the Arcadia Hotel in the background and 99 Steps, a famous wooden staircase built to ease access to SaMo's shore. 99 Steps was at the end of Arizona Avenue, where a staircase and a bridge over PCH can be found today.
