Richard Landry is the Los Angeles architect whose houses are so enormous, so ugly, so unnecessarily over-the-top that we believe he could spark a populist revolution if only more people knew about him. (Also he once called a 4,000-square-foot beach house in Malibu "just a little folly.") He's designed gigantic houses for Mark Wahlberg, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, Saudi princes, and of course himself. He's now selling his 1997 Malibu "barn," which is 4,504 square feet and comes with five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, gym with steam bath, three-car garage and motor court, porte de coche, "corrugated metal tank swimming pool," and 15 acres of land, plus "100 year old imported barn wood from Quebec." Asking price is $8.995 million.
