Back in 2008, developer CIM Group's predecessor at the Sunset Gordon tower promised to put a park next to the building instead of paying Quimby fees (which developers pay to help fund parks). But now that CIM's bought the project and is almost finished building, all of a sudden they're looking for $1.25 million from the city to help with the park, and the community is up in arms that they've asked for money to build something they were already compensated for.
