Fits and starts is the best way to describe how work has gone on 10000 Santa Monica Boulevard, the 40-story luxury residential tower in Century City, but construction is now apprently full-speed ahead and there was even finally an official groundbreaking yesterday. A hole to China has already been dug for the parking and foundation that'll support the 283-unit project by Handel Architects and Miami developer Crescent Heights, but it will take another two to three years to finish the thing, Westside Today reports. No, this isn't a Jean Nouvel-designed tower, as originally planned, but it's not too shabby; shame there's no retail though.
