Expo-Adjacent The Platform Mall Rising Quick, Signing Leases

New, 22 comments

Progress is swift at The Platform, the upscale outdoor mall designed by Abramson Teiger that's going up across from the Culver City Expo Line station. The Runyon Group, which is developing the project, promised fancy, singular retailers, and they're delivering: clothing store Aesop, Blue Bottle coffee, and a New York outpost of The Cannibal restaurant have a few of the signed leases so far. The ground-up Platform occupies the site of former derelict car dealerships and factories and should open next spring. Just across the elevated track, the Access Culver City mixed-user is also making steady progress. The whole area used to be a major dump, so thanks Expo Line.
