Are you ready for a bigger and better community swimming hole, Hollywood? Construction is advancing on a revamped Hollywood Pool complex that will include not just a new pool but a '50s-inspired pool house, designed by Frank Webb Architects, that will house men's and women's changing rooms and bag check areas, reports the Larchmont Buzz. The in-the-works pool, located like the one before it at the Hollywood Rec Center, will have a slide, a diving board, and swimming lanes. At the groundbreaking last fall, officials anticipated the pool could open July 4, but the pool's website now says "late fall." Anyway, when it is swim-ready, the pool is expected to be "as top-notch as many private health clubs."
