Earlier this month, we made the acquaintance of the glorious El Toro, a Montecito residence designed by Barbara Bestor with a $12.9-million pricetag. Joining the market this week is a Bestor project of a much more modest scale, though still big on charm. Originally built in 1912, the petit Echo Park Craftsman was made over by the architect in 2007. Per the listing, the 811-square-foot bungalow features two bedrooms (one with a loft), one bathroom, vaulted ceilings, red oak and cement floors, stainless steel appliances, a dual-head shower, built-in seating and storage, a cement porch, and city and mountain views. Last sold in 2007 for $360,000, it's now asking $599,000.
