Cornerspotted: Fletcher Ave. and Glendale Blvd. in Silver Lake

New, 3 comments

The award for yesterday's Cornerspotter game goes to veteran Spotter alangregg, who pegged this intersection as Fletcher Avenue and Glendale Boulevard in Silver Lake. This hill has way more trees now, as he pointed out—so many, that it's hard to tell if any of the houses in the 1937 photo are still around. The billboard for tires is no longer there, and there's now a traffic signal instead of a stop sign at the intersection. Even though the Glendale in the photo is not as full of cars as it often is today, it still manages to look a little hectic.
