The OC's Biggest House is Being Built Right Now in Newport

New, 29 comments

When finished, the biggest house in LA County is supposed to measure about 70,000 square feet, but some estimates anticipate that only about 55,000 square feet will actually be living quarters, meaning that this Newport Beach house—Villa de Formosa—is helping the OC keep up with LA's ridiculously large houses. Unlike LA County's biggest megamansion, the details about what's inside this huge, two-story estate by Biglin Architectural Group are scarce, but thanks to these renderings, we at least know what it will look like. Located inside the gated Crystal Cove community along the coast, the house was designed to house three generations of a family, according to Homes of the Rich, and will span "three premiere bluff-top lots" for an unfettered ocean view.
