Architects Touraine Richmond Selling Their Striking One Window House in Venice For $2.3 Million

New, 9 comments

Known as the One Window House, this three-story house in Venice was designed by architects Deborah Richmond and Olivier Touraine of the firm Touraine Richmond as their own family residence. Built in 2005, the corrugated-steel-and-glass house was both the recipient of an American Institute of Architects/Los Angeles design award and the subject of an admiring 2007 feature in the New York Times. And now it can be yours. Sited on a 3,909-square-foot lot a block or so northwest of Venice Boulevard, it features three bedrooms, three baths, an open-plan lower level with walls of glass that can be covered with sliding translucent screens for privacy, concrete slab floors, a living room fireplace, multiple decks and patios, and a "private grassy yard + gardens." Asking price is $2.325 million.
