An already-small mixed-user at Sunset Boulevard and La Cienega in West Hollywood has now been shrunken even further, and will see if it can win West Hollywood Planning Commission approval this week, WeHoville reports. This baby drew the ire of both WeHo and LA residents when it was proposed four years ago, since it straddled the cities' shared border. Karma Development has since reduced the number of units from 34 to 11, switched them from condos to apartments, and slightly increased the retail square footage from 9,200 to 11,240 square feet, plus a 20-by-60-foot billboard. It'll replace a three-story apartment building across the street from the enormous Sunset|La Cienega project.
