This Week's Top Stories: It's all preliminary as of now, but plans are afoot to turn portions of three existing buildings near 4th and Main in Downtown LA into a sprawling basement-to-rooftop museum complex. Renderings of KCRW's new digs in Santa Monica, designed by Clive Wilkinson Architects, have been released and they look pretty awesome. The infamous Silicon Beach shack that's truly a shack has just sold for $1.44 million. A really, really nice Greene & Greene craftsman home in Beverly Hills, owned by the writer of Mrs. Doubtfire, has come on the market for $8.995 million. Reviews are mixed - it's horrible/ it's sort of okay, but that eyelash artpiece, oy! - on the new mixed-use project, The Dylan, at the corner of Santa Monica and La Brea in west Hollywood. Your devious landlord is probably planning to raise your rent, or at least that's what they're saying in a recent survey.
