This grand old 1937 joint in Bel Air has had a long line of notable owners—the Movieland Directory's list includes Major Hoople cartoonist Gene Ahern in the '30s and '40s, Stephen Stills in the '70s, psychologist-to-the-stars Irene Kassorla in the '90s, Charlie's Angel Jaclyn Smith in the '90s, and, most notable of all, Betty Grable in the 1940s. Today it is owned by a boring ol' entertainment lawyer, who claims to the Wall Street Journal that the house was built for Grable, although that seems dubious considering the Ahern thing. The current owner is apprently not responsible for its unfortunately extensive blandification; it was renovated by a previous owner. He did, however, add a deck, waterfall, and putting green, and renovate a playhouse. The property also comes with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a dining room, a saltwater pool, a full basketball court, a gym, and a wine cellar. Its current owner bought the house in 2011 for $7.075 million; today it's asking $13.295 million.
