Everything's Fine! Silicon Beach Shack Sells For Just $1.44MM

New, 33 comments

This Venice shack threw everyone into a tizzy when it was listed three months ago for a chest-clutching $1.495 million. Yes, it's west of Lincoln and comes with an attached apartment to bring in some rent money (plus a solar system for low energy costs), but it's also just 1,244 square feet and not in the greatest shape of its life. All that and the listing specifically called out the area as Silicon Beach, like it just wanted to drive the hypergentrification message home. Well, relax, everyone, because the little house took a whole three months to sell and, on top of that, went below asking, for a toooootally reasonable $1.44 million. That's $1,158 per square foot. Nothing to worry about.
