1930 Spanish With Spectacular Tile Asking $2MM in Bev Grove

New, 25 comments

Boy howdy, they sure don't make 'em like they used to. This show-stopping Spanish Colonial in Beverly Grove was built in 1930, presumably for someone oblivious to/unaffected by the Great Depression, given its bounty of lavish detail and craftsmanship. Among the four-bedroom, three-bath residence's outstanding features are hand-painted and carved-beam ceilings, hardwood floors, a wrought-iron staircase and Juliet balcony, vintage sconces and hardware, a "turret style breakfast room," two fireplaces, a "Prohibition room," scalloped archways, numerous built-ins, French windows, an elevator, and gorgeous period tile. Sited on a 6,101-square-foot lot just west of Crescent Heights, it's asking $1.975 million.
