Bridges & Tunnels

The $43-million replacement for the Riverside-Figueroa bridge connecting Cypress Park and Elysian Valley has opened to traffic, although it's still not quite done. When finished, the bridge will have bike lanes and four car lanes, but only two lanes are open now. Meanwhile, despite the best efforts of architects and others, the old bridge will be demolished soon and will definitely not become a park. [ELA]
