The Broadway Mall, a homely, 30-year-old brown brick building on North Broadway, has been purchased by two developers who are now planning a $2-million renovation. The new owners paid $6.3 million and admit their new purchase is currently "an ugly, ugly building." The remodel is planned to "get rid of the swap-meet feel" and bring in new retail tenants.
