Earlier this month, the year-long contemporary architecture/design/art series On The Road's installed its and final project, an effort to bring everyone a little closer to the Hollywood Sign and its home, Mt. Lee. Six arts created projects that would have been very conspicuous to anyone who happened to be on the hill that day: One piece involved eight-foot-tall foam letters placed along the trail to the top of the peak; another tethered 20 five-foot-wide yellow weather balloons to the mountain, with two equipped with cameras to take time-elapse photos.
