Mid-Century With Frank Israel "Transformation" Asking $8MM

New, 11 comments

"[T]ransformed and expanded" by UCLA professor and modernist architect Frank Israel, this hilltop property in Beverly Hills Post Office has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a detached guesthouse on its 1.4 acres. As evidenced by the abundant, giant windows throughout, the domicile definitely "incorporates an art collector's need for light and space" into its design—just like the brokerbabble says. Israel was well-known for "placing his individual stamp on the innovative Southern California design tradition," as the LA Times put it in his obituary; the asking price on this particular piece of that tradition is $7.9 million.
