Family-oriented Mar Vista seems like the perfect neighborhood for developments built under the city's small lot subdivision ordinance (one lot, multiple detached little houses), and hey, here's one now: East 8, at the corner of East Boulevard and Washington Place, has eight houses, ranging between 1,700 and 2,000 square feet, and should be all wrapped up on June 1, a rep for the project says in an email. They're designed by Killefer Flammang and will come with three bedrooms, at least three bathrooms, rooftop decks with 360-degree views, 11-foot ceilings in many rooms, reclaimed redwood railings and siding from an old airplane hangar, and smart thermostats, according to the development's website.
