Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #815, Koreatown's French Chateau Apartments was designed by architect Arlos Sedgley in 1937 and converted to condos in 2007. Listed today in a probate sale is one of the 10-unit complex's top-floor apartments. The 1,150-square-foot unit features one bedroom, one bathroom, hardwood floors, crown moldings, lovely vintage tile and built-ins, wainscoting, central heat and air, a washer/dryer, "European stainless appliances" (including a very tall, skinny fridge), and two side-by-side secure parking spaces. Last sold in 2010 for $360,000, it's now asking $495,000, along with the monthly HOA fees of $311.
