Opponents of a four-unit townhouse style project in Alhambra are moaning about the usual canards of traffic and density, oh, and a Native American burial ground. Developer Arroyo Garden LLC is currently developing a 51,800 square foot piece of land that sat undeveloped for years and years because the former owner thought it was the site of a burial ground for the Kizh nation, a branch of the Gabrielino Native American tribe. "The Kizh Nation claims that before the federal government developed the lands in the San Gabriel area, the lot on El Molino used to be a burial ground for their ancestors." [Alhambra Source]
