Pedaling your bike is just one way to experience the fun of CicLAvia, but you can take it to the next level with a view of LA's favorite linear block party from the point of view of a drone. (Probably one of the less creepy contexts a drone's been used in.) This sometimes vertiginous film by Corbin Keegan (via Streetsblog) was filmed at the Wilshire Boulevard CicLAvia a few weeks ago and captures bike traffic along Wilshire near the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple. Highlights include a fly-around of the tower of the Wilshire United Methodist Church; a really nice, long shot of Wilshire busy with cyclists; and, most delightfully, the sight of people seeing the drone. It's incredible to see the bike traffic flowing and people with space to swerve—the crowds almost look sparse at some points!
