MIRACLE MILE:An adorable new cantina has opened next to the El Rey theater, offering up Mexican staples for about five bucks. The El Diner comes from Hans Goplen of The Farm of Beverly Hills and Jon Stevenson of TRiP.
SHERMAN OAKS: Starting April 14, Tipple & Brine on Ventura will offer seafood-driven California plates like uni toast with avocado mousse. The design feels warm, if rote, with reclaimed wood and suspended Edison bulbs.
ALL OVER: In time for spring (drinking season?), Eater has released its Where to Drink in Los Angeles map. Most of the spots—like Bestia, Tasting Kitchen, and Pot Bar—also have amazing food.
