It's been years and years in the making, but "more than 1,000 construction workers and heavy equipment will soon be swarming" the Village at Westfield Topanga and actual work's supposed to start very soon. Developers, who received a $59-million tax break for the project, have set their gaze on the admittedly ambitious opening date of fall 2015. Two elements of the giant undertaking—office space and a hotel—are delayed, but the Costco, restaurants, and gas station are right on track. Woo-hoo. [LADN]
