A group of West Hollywood West residents have managed to get a freeze on new house construction and most residential additions in the neighborhood, but only for 45 days. The moratorium is a response to the "mansionization" of the area, which is home to many early twentieth century single-family houses. The council wants to extend the moratorium for a year so they can rezone WeHo West in the interim, but they need to hold a public hearing first. [WeHoville, previously]
